ABSTRACT A refrigerator is provided with a freezing chamber cooled by an evaporator of an absorption refrigerating apparatus. A machine for automatic making and dispensing of ice cubes is located in the freezing chamber and is cooled by the evaporator of a compression refrigerating apparatus. When the machine has produced ice cubes, the evaporator of the absorption refrigerating apparatus keeps the ice cubes frozen.
