Three coils, each having several serial windings (A1-A4 or 5; B1-B4 or 5; C1-C4 or 5), have selected windings connected in a delta (A2-A4 or 5; B2-B4 or 5; C2-CR or 5). Input AC power is applied through outrigger windings (A1, B1, C1)at the delta apices (A, B, C). At least two strategically located, direct tap, natural output points (01-06; or 01, 02, 04, 05, 07, 08) are provided at each side of the delta. For 6-phase output, only the six natural output points (01-06) are required. For 9-phase output, an additional central output terminal (09, 06, 03) connects to each side of the delta through a stub winding (A6, B6, C6). The 6-phase or 9-phase output is passed to a rectifier circuit (R).
Selon l'invention, trois bobines, chacune comportant plusieurs enroulements en série (A1 à A4 ou 5 ; B1 à B4 ou 5 ; C1 à C4 ou 5), possèdent des enroulements sélectionnés reliés en triangle (A2 à A4 ou 5 ; B2 à B4 ou 5 ; C2 à C4 ou 5). La puissance en courant alternatif d'entrée est appliquée par l'intermédiaire d'enroulements extérieurs (A1, B1, C1) aux sommets du triangle (A, B, C). Au moins deux points de sortie naturels à prises directes, disposés stratégiquement (01 à 06 ; ou 01, 02, 04, 05, 07, 08) sont utilisés de chaque côté du triangle. Pour une sortie à 6 phases, seuls les six points de sortie naturels (01 à 06) sont requis. Pour une sortie à 9 phases, une borne de sortie centrale supplémentaire (09, 06, 03) relie chaque côté du triangle par l'intermédiaire d'un enroulement adaptateur d'impédance (A6, B6, C6). La sortie à 6 phases ou à 9 phases est transférée vers un circuit redresseur (R).
