ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present invention relates to an acaricidal compo- sition containing, as active ingredient, at least one organic sulphur-containing compound of the following general formula (I): Image (I) in which R represents a radical selected among the methyl, ethyl, propyl(such as n-propyl or isopropyl), butyl(such as tert.-butyl), heptyl, phenyl, substituted phenyl (such as metho- xyphenyl) and furyl-2 radicals and R1 represent a radical selected among the octyl, dodecyl, hexadecyl, benzyl and cyclohexyl radi- cals and the radicals of the following formula (II): -(CH2)6 - S - ? - R2 (II) in which R2 has the same meanings a R and R2 is identical to R, with the proviso that R does not represent a phenyl radical when R1 represents an octyl or benzyl radical.
