Procedure for synchronizing a mobile terminal with a cellular telecommunications network in which synchronization of the mobile terminal is effected only after the best cell is identified through a series of measures. The procedure consists of: a request to synchronize the mobile terminal for the purpose of communicating with a control station (10), confirmation that a series of measures have been completed (12), confirmation that the time elapsed since the previous series of measures were completed is less than a set validity time interval (14), and synchronization of the mobile terminal with the control station (16).
Procédé de synchronisation d'un terminal mobile avec un réseau de radiocommunication cellulaire dans lequel la synchronisation du terminal mobile n'a lieu qu'après détermination de la meilleure cellule au moyen d'une campagne de mesures. Le procédé comprend les étapes de: demande de synchronisation du terminal mobile dans le but de communiquer avec une station de contrôle (10), vérification qu'une campagne de mesures a déjà été effectuée (12), vérification que la durée qui s'est écoulée depuis que la précédente campagne de mesures a été effectuée, est inférieure à un intervalle de temps de validité déterminé (14), et synchronisation du terminal mobile sur la station de contrôle (16).
