ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An access extension fitting for mounting on a conduit fitting provides more space for the conduit fitting permitting more splices, more connections for other conduit pipes and for mounting and supporting other electrical equipment. The access extension fitting has an enclosure with adjoining sides having bottom edges to fit over an opening in a conduit fitting. Gripping arrangement is supplied for co-operating with the attachment arrangement normally for holding a cover plate. The access extension fitting has at least one aperture in adjoining sides with a connection for a conduit, a top plate to fit over top edges of the adjoining sides and close the enclosure, and a holding arrangement to hold and seal the top plate to the top edges of the enclosure.
