A control device or a method monitors access of at least one body or one person (11.1) to an access area. To this end, the device comprises at least one emitting element that emits light radiation into the access area, and comprises at least one receiving element that receives the light radiation. At least one means which generates a diffused light field (11.3, 11.6) is provided that emits the light radiation, which is emitted into the access area, in the form of a planar light field. On the receive side, a detection element for the diffused detection of the light field and a transferring means for transferring the light detected in a diffused manner to the receiving element. This makes it possible to obtain a complete and continuous monitoring of an access area.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de contrôle ou un procédé permettant de surveiller une zone d'accès, pour ce qui est de l'accès d'au moins un corps ou d'un individu (11.1). A cet effet, ledit dispositif comprend au moins un élément émetteur émettant un faisceau lumineux dans la zone d'accès et au moins un élément récepteur recevant ledit faisceau lumineux. L'invention permet d'assurer une surveillance exhaustive et continue d'une zone d'accès, du fait qu'il est prévu au moins un moyen produisant un champ lumineux diffus (11.3, 11.6), qui émet le faisceau lumineux émis dans la zone d'accès, sous forme de champ lumineux en nappe et, côté émission, un élément de détection pour détecter de manière diffuse le champ lumineux et un élément de transmission pour transmettre la lumière détectée de manière diffuse à l'élément récepteur.
