A well outside of a brine tank is provided which provides better accessibility to the brine refill valve or other components within the well. Also, apertures of differing elevations above the bottom of the brine tank can communicate between the brine tank and the well. Selected ones of the apertures can be plugged to select the quantity of water which can be removed and refilled in the brine tank.

Un puits, situé à l'extérieur d'un réservoir à saumure, permet d'accéder plus facilement au robinet de recharge de saumure ou à d'autres composants qui se trouvent dans le puits. Des ouvertures, pratiquées dans les parois du réservoir à différentes hauteurs à partir du fond du réservoir, permettent la communication entre le réservoir à saumure et le puits.
