An Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC) driver (6) that allows access of data stored in a hierarchical data store (4) through an SQL input query. Based on the SQL input, the driver transforms a hierarchical data store (4) into relational database tables. Preferably, the tables hold pointers that point to the actual data stored in the hierarchical data store (4).
