A flexible accommodating intraocular lens (8) having anteriorly and posteriorly movable extended portions, such as T-shaped haptics (12), extending from a central solid biconvex optic (10) to be implanted within a natural capsular bag of a human eye with the extended portions positioned between an anterior capsular rim and a posterior capsule of the bag, whereby during a post-operative healing period, fibrosis occurs about the extended portions to fixate the lens in the bag in a manner such that subsequent natural contraction and relaxation of the ciliary muscle moves and deforms the optic to provide vision accommodation.
La présente invention concerne une lentille intraoculaire souple d'adaptation (8) présentant des parties extensibles mobiles vers l'avant et vers l'arrière, telles que des parties haptiques en T (12), s'étendant depuis une optique biconvexe solide centrale (10) pour être implantées dans un sac capsulaire naturelle d'un oeil humain avec les parties prolongées positionnées entre un bord capsulaire antérieur et une capsule extérieure du sac, grâce à quoi lors d'une période de cicatrisation postopératoire, se produit une fibrose autour des portions prolongées pour la fixation de la lentille dans le sac de sorte qu'une contraction naturelle ultérieure et une relaxation du muscle ciliaire déplace et déforme l'optique pour assurer une adaptation de la vision.
