Abstract of the Disclosure An olefin polymer containing a minor amount of a copolymer of ethylene or propylene and an aminoalkyl acrylate is treated with an alkyl halide and thereafter dyed with an acid dye. This allows dying the polymer at a relatively high pH. Fibers may be treated prior to being formed into fabric or a finished fabric made at least in part of olefin polymer fiber containing the aminoalkyl acrylate copolymer can be treated.
