This invention is method of recovering gas from a gas-bearing subterranean formation in which gas is produced from an upper portion of the formation and a waste gas is injected into a lower portion of the formation to dispose of the waste gas. The waste gas is injected within a 3000 foot (914 m) radial distance from the production of the gas. The injection and production can be carried out using one well or a plurality of wells.
La présente invention concerne un procédé qui permet d'extraire du gaz d'une formation souterraine gazéifère, selon lequel on produit le gaz depuis une partie supérieure de la formation et on injecte le gaz résiduaire dans une partie inférieure de ladite formation afin de l'évacuer. Le gaz résiduaire est injecté à une distance radiale de 914 m (3 000 pieds) de l'endroit de production du gaz. On peut effectuer l'injection et la production en utilisant un seul puits ou une pluralité de puits.
