A method of utilizing a solution of oxalic acid potassium salt, dihydrate 99 % to react with calcium in the dentinal fluid forming an insoluble white precipitate of calcium oxalate which occludes the dentinal tubules causing decreased sensitivity, permeability and acid penetration of the dentin. A liquid composition of oxalic acid potassium salt, dihydrate 99 % containing about 1.5 % to about 10 % by weight oxalic acid potassium salt, dihydrate 99 % having a particle size of about 1 to about 10 microns when view by a 100 power microscope. The liquid composition has a pH of about 2.0 to 4Ø Methods of preparing the liquid composition are disclosed.
La présente invention concerne un procédé d'utilisation de solution de sel de potassium d'acide oxalique dihydrate 99 % devant réagir avec le calcium contenu dans le fluide dentinaire pour former un précipité blanc insoluble d'oxalate de calcium qui obture les tubules dentinaires de manière à réduire la sensibilité, la perméabilité et la pénétration d'acides dans la dentine. En outre, cette invention concerne une composition liquide de sel de potassium d'acide oxalique dihydrate 99 % contenant entre environ 1,5 % et environ 10 % en poids de sel de potassium d'acide oxalique dihydrate 99 % présentant granulométrie comprise entre environ 1 et environ 10 microns avec un microscope de grossissement 100; cette composition liquide présentant un pH compris entre environ 2,0 et 4,0. Enfin, cette invention concerne des procédés de préparation de cette composition liquide.
