Abstract of the Disclosure. - Wire enameis comprise acid-terminated polyester imides prepared to an acid number of not less than 6 in presence of a monoether or monoester of a glycol or polyglycol and dissolved in a solvent comprising predominantly a polar oxygenated compound selected from a monoether or monoester of an alkylene, or polyalkylene, glycol. Such enamels provide insulation coatings on electrical conductors which have superior flexibility, especially after aging.
