The present invention relates to novel uses of indole-3-alkylcarboxylic acid and derivatives thereof as a photosensitizer for the treatment of acne or for the inhibition of sebum secretion. More particularly, the present invention is directed to a photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy, a photodynamic therapy kit and photodynamic therapeutic composition comprising thereof, which contain indole-3-alkylcarboxylic acid being activated by light. The light which activates indole-3-alkylcarboxylic acid of the present invention may be ultraviolet rays or visible lights, preferably blue light or green light.
L'invention concerne de nouvelles utilisations de l'acide indole-3-alkylcarboxylique et de ses dérivés comme photosensibilisateur pour traiter l'acné ou inhiber la sécrétion de sébum. L'invention concerne, plus particulièrement un photosensibilisateur pour thérapie photodynamique, un kit de thérapie photodynamiqu et une composition thérapeutique photodynamique qui contient un acide indole-3-alkylcarboxylique activé par la lumière. La lumière qui active l'acide indole-3-alkylcarboxylique de l'invention peut être un rayonnement ultraviolet ou une lumière visible, de préférence une lumière bleue ou une lumière verte.
