An acoustic coupling device (32) for an audiometric screening system (20). The audiometric screening system (20) includes a computer (22) having a monitor (23) for displaying characteristics of processed signals emanating from a subject (10) and a probe (24) for presenting acoustic stimulus signals to the subject (10). The acoustic coupling device (32) includes a plurality of multi-shaped, ear pieces (34a, 34b) for engaging the subject's ear; a monitoring member for monitoring at least the amplitude of the stimulus presented to the subject and the response signal emanating from the subject's ears; a regulating member for controlling the stimulus presented to the subject (10); and an engagement member for engaging conventional hearing screening test devices.
