Acrylate binder and its use for dressing leather A b s t r a c t Acrylate binders consist of (a) 38 to 98% by weight of a C2-C8-alkyl acrylate, (b) 1 to 6% by weight of (meth)acrylic acid, (c) 0 to 30% by weight of acrylonitrile, (d) 0 to 60% by weight of methyl methacryl- ate and (e) 0 to 10% by weight of one or more other co- monomers containing no acid, basic or crosslinking groups and are obtainable by copolymerization of the monomers in the presence of 0.02 to 0.5% by weight of an organic per- oxo compound and 1.0 to 5.0% by weight of an anionic emulsifier, the percentage data relating to the sum of (a) to (e), are particularly suitable for dressing leather.
