SPECIFICATION TITLE: ACRYLIC ADHESIVES AND SEALANTS WITH IMPROVED HOT STRENGTH ABSTRACT The hot strength of acrylic adhesives containing an acid releasing polymer, e.g. chlorosulphonated polyethylene, particularly two-part adhe- sives, is increased by substituting as all or part of the acrylate ester compo- nent an epoxy containing acrylate or methacrylate, i.e. containing an epoxy group in the ester moiety, and in particular epoxidised dicyclopentenyl- oxyethyl acrylate or methacrylate, or glycidyl acrylate or methacrylate.
