Acrylic copolymers for use as additives for inhibiting paraffin deposition in crude oils, and compositions containing the oils and said additives, are disclosed. specifically, polymeric additives useful for inhibiting paraffin deposition in and improving the flow properties of crude oils, and compositions containing the crude petroleum oils and said additives, are disclosed. Said additives are essentially alcohol acrylate copolymers comprising 10-50 carbons with special chain distributions, as well as the corresponding 2- and/or 4-vinylpyridine terpolymers.

Copolymères acryliques utilisables comme additifs pour l'inhibition du dépôt de paraffines dans les huiles brutes et compositions renfermant les huiles et lesdits additifs. La présente invention a pour objet des additifs polymériques utilisables pour l'inhibition du dépôt de paraffines et l'amélioration des propriétés d'écoulement des huiles brutes ainsi que les compositions renfermant les huiles brutes de pétrole et lesdits additifs. Ce sont essentiellement des copolymères d'acrylates d'alcools comportant de 10 à 50 carbones avec des distributions particulières des chaînes ainsi que des terpolymères correspondants de la 2- et/ou la 4- vinylpyridine.
