An activatable time-temperature indicator system useful in tracking the thermal exposure history of a temperature-sensitive perishable product and providing a visually-distinct signal, such as a change in color density, at the expiration of a predetermined time-temperature integral comprises a first element, such as a direct thermal printing label (11), comprising a composition (13) having at least a first co-reactant of a color-forming reaction. A second, activator element, such as an adhesive tab (21) capable of being affixed to the label element, comprises an activator component (25), such as a second co-reactant of the color-forming reaction of a solubilizing agent for prompting the interaction of the co-reactants of the label composition.
L'invention concerne un système indicateur de temps-température pouvant être activé, utilisé pour suivre l'historique de l'exposition thermique d'un produit périssable sensible à la température, et fournissant un signal visuellement distinct, tel qu'un changement de densité de couleur, à l'expiration d'une valeur de temps-température prédéterminée. Ledit système indicateur de temps-température comprend un premier élément, tel qu'une étiquette (11) à impression thermique directe renfermant une composition (13) constituée d'au moins un premier co-réactif de réaction de formation de couleur. Un second élément activateur, tel qu'une languette (21) pouvant être fixée à l'élément d'étiquette, comprend un composant d'activateur (25), tel qu'un second co-réactif de réaction de formation de couleur ou un agent de solubilisation entraînant l'interaction des co-réactifs de la composition d'étiquette.
