Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention provides a compound of the general formula 111; Image III wherein the matrix is a water or organic solvent insoluble polysaccharide matrix and Y is a good leaving group which is readily displaced by an amine. In a further aspect the present invention also provides a method for prepar- ing the above defined compound. The compound of the present invention is useful for affinity chromatography.
