The invention concerns a method for activating an interactive multimedia terminal (BN) providing facilities of a mobile desk to a mobile radio terminal (TM) user, the mobile terminal (TM) indicates its presence in the neighbourhood of the terminal (BN), either by proximity radio link to the terminal itself, or by short messages to a management server (SB) when the terminal is a radiotelephone terminal. An identifier of the terminal is transmitted from the terminal (BN) to the management server, or to a location recorder of the radiotelephone network (RR), to activate the terminal after validating the identifier.

Pour activer une borne multimédia interactive (BN) offrant les fonctionnalités d'un bureau mobile à un usager d'un terminal radio mobile (TM), le terminal mobile (TM) signale sa présence au voisinage de la borne (BN), soit par liaison radioélectrique de proximité à la borne elle-même, soit par messages courts à un serveur de gestion (SB) lorsque le terminal est radiotéléphonique. Un identificateur du terminal est transmis depuis la borne (BN) au serveur de gestion, ou à un enregistreur de localisation du réseau de radiotéléphonie (RR), afin d'activer la borne après validation de l'identificateur.
