This invention relates to a process for activating a hydroprocessing catalyst and the use of activated catalyst for hydroprocessing. More particularly, hydroprocessing catalysts are activated in the presence of carbon monoxide. The catalysts that have been activated by CO treatment have improved activity.

Cette invention concerne un procédé pour activer un catalyseur d'hydrocraquage et l'utilisation d'un catalyseur activé pour l'hydrocraquage. Plus particulièrement, des catalyseurs d'hydrocraquage sont activés en présence de monoxyde de carbone. Les catalyseurs qui ont été activés par traitement au monoxyde de carbone (CO) possèdent une meilleure activité.
