A personnel badge or asset tag (10) for a locating and tracking system, the badge or tag including a housing (11) which has a front panel (14) facing away from the person or asset and a back panel facing toward the person or asset when worn by the person or attached to the asset. The personnel badge also including an attachment member (20) mounted on the back panel, the attachment memberincluding a mounting plate (22), a pivoting plate (30) having a portion for engaging the mounting plate, a pivot connector (46) for pivotally connecting the pivoting plate to the mounting plate for attachment of the badge to the person. The asset tag having an opening on the front panel through which light can be transmitted, the asset tag also including at least three light sources, a surface (216) for mounting the at least three light sources (250, 252, 254) between the back and front panels adjacent to the opening in the front panel, each of the at least three light sources being mounted on the surface at an angle between the light source and the surface to maximize the angle of dispersion of light transmitted through the opening in the front panel.
La présente invention concerne un badge personnel ou une étiquette de bien (10) destinés à un système de localisation et de suivi. Ce badge ou cette étiquette comporte un boîtier (11) dont la façade tourne le dos à la personne ou au bien et dont le panneau postérieur est tourné vers la personne ou le bien lorsque l'étiquette est portée par la personne ou fixée au bien. Le badge pour personne comporte également un organe de fixation (20) monté sur le panneau postérieur. Cet élément de fixation comporte une platine de montage (22), une plaque pivotante (30) présentant une partie venant en contact de la platine de montage, un connecteur à pivot (46) permettant de fixer par pivot la plaque pivotante sur la platine de montage en vue de la fixation du badge sur la personne. L'étiquette pour les biens comporte en façade un orifice au travers duquel il est possible d'émettre de la lumière. L'étiquette pour les biens comporte également au moins trois sources lumineuses, une surface (216) destinée au montage des trois sources lumineuses considérées (250, 252, 254) entre la façade et le panneau postérieur, au voisinage de l'orifice dans la façade. Chacune des trois sources lumineuses est montée sur la surface inclinée entre la source lumineuse et la surface de façon à maximiser l'angle de dispersion de la lumière émise au travers de l'orifice dans la façade.
