Abstract of the Disclosure: An active cooling box comprises a housing having a plurality of walls and an interior. A semiconductor cooling element for cooling the interior and a cooling body are disposed on respectively opposite sides of one of the walls. The semi- conductor cooling element is disposed in the interior and the cooling body is thermally connected with the semiconduc- tor cooling element for outward heat removal from the semi- conductor cooling element.
