Active Material for Cathode of Lead Storage Battery Abstract of the disclosure: An active material for the cathode or positive pole of a lead storage battery, the active material being prepared either by adding at least one additive selected from bismuth, bismuth compounds, thallium and thallium compounds to at least one base material selected from lead powder or lead oxide powder or by mixing and kneading at least one member selected from lead and lead oxide powder, with bonding water- containing lead oxide powder. In one embodiment, this invention relates to a lead storage battery using therein said active material which is improved in availability of electric energy therefrom.
