Passive and active suppression of casing signals is used to improve the ability to measure formation velocities. Passive suppression includes the use of a magnet slidably coupled to the casing. Active suppression uses measurement of casing signals to control the output of an electromechanical acoustic transducer which cancels the propagating signal. Feedback control may be provided.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation de la suppression active et passive des signaux émis par un boîtier pour améliorer les capacités de mesure des vitesses de formation. La suppression passive inclut l'utilisation d'un aimant fixé au boîtier et pouvant glisser. La suppression active utilise la mesure des émissions du boîtier pour commander la sortie d'un transducteur acoustique électromécanique qui annule la propagation des signaux.
