In an active/standby routing system for establishing a active route and the corresponding standby route in an ATM network, a node transmits, as a connection signaling message, a connection pair identifier which is unique to a combination of the active and the standby routes together with information which is indicative of either of active and standby routes. The active and the standby routes are quickly switched from one to another even when one of the routes is to be recalculated due to a trouble in the other route. The connection signaling message is transmitted to both the active and the standby routes from the first node. A repeating node receives the message, sets the route indicated by the information indicating an active or standby route in the received message and thereafter transmits the message. An end node records information on paired active and standby routes from the connection signaling message received through the active and standby routes to maintain correspondence between active and standby routes.
Dans un système d'acheminement permettant d'établir une route active et la route de rechange correspondante, un noeud transmet, en un message de signalisation de connexion, un identificateur de paire de connexions désignant une combinaison de la route active et de la route de rechange ainsi que l'information caractérisant chacune de ces deux routes. Les routes active et de rechange sont rapidement commutées entre elles même lorsqu'il faut recalculer l'une d'elles en raison d'une difficulté sur l'autre. Le message de signalisation de connexion est transmis aux routes active et de rechange à partir du premier noeud. Un noeud répéteur reçoit le message, établit la route indiquée dans ce dernier par l'information caractérisant une route active ou de rechange, puis transmet le message. Un noeud terminal enregistre l'information relative aux routes active et de rechange jumelées à partir du message de signalisation de connexion reçu par l'intermédiaire des routes active et de rechange afin de maintenir la correspondance entre ces routes.
