A system for controlling a vehicle. The vehicle (1) has a steerable front axle (3) and at least one further steerable axle (6) and the system comprises means for determining the path of a reference lead point (5) at the front of the vehicle (1). There is also means for determining the path of a follow point at the rear of the vehicle, and means for driving the at least one further steerable axle (6) of the vehicle such that the deviation between the path of the lead point (5) of the vehicle and the follow point is within a predetermined range whilst the vehicle (1) is in motion.
La présente invention concerne un système de direction d'un véhicule. Le véhicule (1) un essieu avant orientable (3) et au moins un autre essieu orientable (6) et le système comporte un moyen permettant de déterminer le trajet d'un point guide (5) à l'avant du véhicule (1). Il est également prévu un moyen pour déterminer le trajet d'un point poursuite à l'arrière du véhicule, et un moyen pour conduire ledit autre essieu orientable (6) du véhicule de sorte que la déviation entre le point guide (5) du véhicule et le point poursuite se trouve dans une plage prédéterminée lors du déplacement du véhicule (1).
