ABSTRACT An actuating fitment for a spray container containing a product which is capable of flow and which is exposed to a gas pressure and, in a delivery duct, a delivery valve which can be actuated by the actuating fitment, so that when the delivery valve is open the product flows out through the delivery duct, has an axial bore (2) which can be coupled to the delivery duct, a transverse bore (3) leading from the axial bore (2) to a discharge nozzle (4), and a regulating member (5) which is snugly fitted in the axial bore and is axially displaceable, for through-flow regulation, having a throttle bore (7). In order to maintain the through flow with a higher degree of accuracy when the delivery valve is open, the regulating member (5) is made from substantially rigid material and is displaceable by the internal pressure of the spray container against spring force (8) over the intake opening (9) of the transverse bore (3) until reaching an abutment (10) which stops the regulating member (5) in a position in which it blocks the major part of the intake opening (9).
