Compounds of the formula (see fig. I) in which R1 is C3-C5alkyl; X4 is C1-C4alkyl; R2 is carboxy or C2-C5-alkoxycarbonyl; and R3 is 5-tetrazolyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. These compounds have pronounced angiotensin II antagonist properties.
