Abstract There are described acylaniline derivatives of the formula I Image (I) wherein Y is Image , Image or Image R5 is 2-furyl or 2-tetrahydrofuryl each of which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen; or R5 is the group CH2Z, where Z is one of the group -OR6, -SR6, NH-N(R7)(R8), -OSO2R9 or 1,2,4-triazole and the substituents X, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R10, and R11 are as defined hereinafter. Compounds of this type have a very favourable microbicidal spectrum. They are used principally for combating phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria.
