ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Acylated 4-carbamoylimidazolium-5-olates prepared by re- acting 4-carbamoylimidazolium-5-olate of the formula Image or its silylated derivative with a reactive derivative of carboxylic acid of the formula: RCOOH wherein R is C1 - C17alkyl, adamantyl, or phenyl unsubstituted or substituted with lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, halogen, nitro, cyano, methylenedioxy or acetamido are useful as immunosuppressants and antitumor agents.
