Certain novel 4 alkyl substituted N acylated piperidine derivatives are ligands of the human melanocortin receptor(s) and, in particular, are selective ligands of the human melanocortin-4 receptor (MC-4R). They are therefore useful for the treatment, control, or prevention of diseases and disorders responsive to the modulation of MC-4R, such as obesity, diabetes, nicotine addiction, alcoholism, sexual dysfunction, including erectile dysfunction and female sexual dysfunction.

Certains dérivés de la pipéridine N acylée substituée 4 alkyle sont des ligands du ou des récepteurs de la mélanocortine, singulièrement des ligands sélectifs du récepteur de la mélanocortine 4 (MC-4R). Il sont donc utiles pour le traitement, le contrôle ou la prévention de maladies et de troubles réagissant à une modulation de MC-4R, tels que l'obésité, le diabète, le tabagisme, l'alcoolisme, les dysfonctionnements sexuels chez l'homme et la femme et les troubles de l'érection.
