An adaptable ceiling tile structure and a suspended ceiling system utilizing such ceiling tiles is disclosed. The basic ceiling tiles (100) include a peripheral frame (102) surrounding a single primary opening. A cover layer (104), such as a fabric or scrim may be stretched across the opening and attached to the frame with a support surface defining the primary plane of the cover layer and an offset portion defining a peripheral recess (103). The ceiling tile may be customized with premanufactured trim pieces (108) that include end portions configured for insertion into the peripheral recess and an intermediate portion that can be attached to the cover layer. Once the trim piece is in place, a portion of the peripheral frame and the cover layer can be removed, typically by cutting, to complete the customized ceiling tile.
La présente invention concerne une structure de dalles de plafond adaptables et un système de plafond suspendu utilisant lesdites dalles de plafond. Les dalles de plafond de base (100) comprennent un cadre périphérique (102) entourant une ouverture principale unique. Une couche de protection (104), telle qu~un tissu ou un canevas, peut être étirée à travers l~ouverture et fixée au cadre avec une surface de support définissant le plan principal de la couche de protection et une partie de décalage définissant un encastrement périphérique (103). Une fois le profil d~arrêt en place, une partie du cadre périphérique et la couche de protection peuvent être retirées, typiquement par découpe, pour terminer la dalle de plafond personnalisée.
