The field of the invention is the equalization of digital signals, in particular to combat intersymbol interference, for example in cellular radiocommunication. The invention concerns a digital signal equalization process designed to combat intersymbol interference, of the type consisting in assigning to each sample received (X k) an estimated symbol (E k) that is representative of the symbol emitted (X k), the process comprising an iterative intersymbol interference suppression stage, each iteration consisting in comparing each sample (X k) of a set of samples received whose value has not been determined in a previous iteration with at least one confidence level and, if the sample exceeds one of the said levels, assigning to the sample (X k) an estimated symbol (*E k) whose value depends on the level exceeded, the value of the said sample (X k) being then determined; and suppressing the intersymbol interference caused by the estimated symbol (E k) in the other samples belonging to the sample set received.
Le domaine de l'invention est celui de l'égalisation de signaux numériques, notamment pour combattre l'interférence intersymbole, par exemple dans le cadre de la radiocommunication cellulaire. L'invention concerne un procédé d'égalisation d'un signal numérique, destiné à combattre l'interférence intersymbole, du type consistant à associer à chaque échantillon reçu (X k) un symbole estimé (E k), représentatif du symbole émis (X k), le procédé comprenant une étape itérative de suppression de l'interférence intersymbole, chaque itération consistant à, pour chaque échantillon (X k) d'un jeu d'échantillons reçus dont la valeur n'a pas été déterminée lors d'une itération précédente, comparer l'échantillon avec au moins un seuil de confiance et, si l'échantillon dépasse l'un desdits seuils, associer à l'échantillon (X k) un symbole estimé (*E k) dont la valeur dépend du seuil dépassé, la valeur dudit échantillon (X k) étant alors déterminée; et supprimer l'interférence intersymbole provoquée par le symbole estimé (E k) sur les autres échantillons appartenant au jeu d'échantillons reçus.
