16 Summary The invention concerns an adapter to fasten one or more accessories on a weapon, specifically a rapid-fire weapon, as well as a process to modify such a weapon. The adapter has either a. a housing (9) of metal with a cylindrical exterior surface that contains at least one ring groove (15, 17) and that may be connected metallically with the barrel (5) of the weapon such that it surrounds the barrel (5), where the ring grooves are oriented axially or axis- parallel to barrel (5), and b. an accessory unit (23), which may be attached solidly to housing (9) in order to support accessories, or c. a housing (9) that surrounds the barrel (5) of the weapon and that can be solidly affixed to the same, and d. a protuberance (35) on the accessory unit (23) that inserts into a matching recess (33) to secure it from rotating. The process of the invention modifies the weapon by means of this adapter (Fig. 1).
La présente invention concerne un adaptateur conçu pour fixer un/plusieurs appareil(s) auxiliaire(s) sur une arme à feu, notamment sur un fusil automatique, ainsi qu'un procédé pour adapter l'équipement d'une telle arme. Cet adaptateur comprend soit a) une douille (9) en métal, qui présente une surface extérieure cylindrique et au moins une formation annulaire (15; 17) à l'intérieur de cette dernière et qui peut être mise en liaison métallique avec le canon (5) de l'arme de façon à entourer le canon (5) et ainsi à aligner la/les formation(s) annulaire(s) (15; 17) de manière coaxiale ou parallèle à l'axe par rapport au canon (5) et b) un système auxiliaire (23) qui peut être mis en prise stable avec la douille (9) et qui est conçu pour recevoir les appareils auxiliaires, soit a) une douille (9) qui entoure le canon (5) de l'arme et qui peut être fixement reliée à celui-ci et ß) un système auxiliaire (23) qui vient en prise avec une formation (35) située dans une contre-formation complémentaire (33) afin d'assurer un blocage en rotation. Le procédé selon la présente invention consiste à adapter l'équipement d'une arme avec un tel adaptateur.
