ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to an adapter cartridge which permits use of a relatively big game rifle in order to shoot balls or pellets of the same calibre as the rifle but with the use of a relatively low-power propellant charge. The adapter is the same shape and diameter as the usual cartridge for the rifle for any given calibre.
