A device for clamping a non-circular cross-section extruded rod has a tube rotatably mounted to a base, a clamp housing mounted to the tube at one end of the tube, the housing having a cavity therethrough co-axial with the axis of rotation of the tube, the cavity substantially conforming in cross-sectional shape to the non-circular cross-sectional shape of the rod, and, at least one spring-biased ball bearing extending into the cavity for applying force within the housing substantially radially against the rod when the rod is within the cavity so as to clamp the rod.
Dispositif de serrage d'une tige extrudée de section non circulaire comportant un tube fixé de manière articulée à une base, un logement de pince fixé à une extrémité du tube. Le logement compte une cavité qui le traverse de manière coaxiale par rapport à l'axe de rotation du tube; la cavité se conforme essentiellement en section transversale à la forme de section non circulaire de la tige, et au moins un roulement à billes à ressort qui s'étend dans la cavité afin d'appliquer une force dans le logement de manière essentiellement radiale contre la tige afin de serrer celle-ci lorsqu'elle se trouve dans la cavité.
