ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The adapter of the present invention is able to be secured to and driven by a rotary device such as a conventional drill press or hand drill. The device comprises a base member which has a belt-supporting member mounted thereon. A drive member is disposed proximate one end of the belt-supporting member and this drive member is adapted to be connected to and rotated by the rotary device. A driven member is mounted on the base member proximate the opposite end of the belt-supporting member to the drive member. An endless belt is disposed around the belt supporting member so that it encompasses the drive and driven members. The belt is supported by the belt-supporting member, and has a material disposed thereon for removing matter from an object. When the drive member is rotated by the rotary device, the drive member causes the belt to rotate; and objects brought into engagement with the belt have matter removed therefrom.
