Weighting vectors for an adaptive antenna, or diversity antenna, are determined by applying a plurality of test weighting vector sets, and measuring a quality of a signal received or transmitted for each set, wherein an optimum set of weighting vectors is determined from the test sets and from each measured signal quality. The optimum set can be determined without carrier phase information, and without iteratively refining the test sets.
Des vecteurs de pondération pour antenne adaptative, ou antenne de réception en diversité, sont déterminés par application d'un certain nombre d'ensembles de vecteurs de pondération de test, la qualité d'un signal reçu ou transmis étant mesurée pour chaque ensemble. Les ensembles de test et chaque qualité de signal mesurée permettent de définir un ensemble optimal de vecteurs de pondération, sans nécessiter d'information sur la phase de la porteuse ni le raffinement itératif des ensembles de test.
