A method and system of adaptive channel allocation in a multi-carrier, multi- slot system (220) is provided. In the method and system a subset of M channels is chosen from a larger set of N channels available for communications on a link (300, 330). As communications take place on the link (300, 330), signal quality (C/I) measurements on the channels of the subset of M channels and interference (I) measurements on the channels of the group of N channels are periodically performed. The C/I and I measurements are then used to reconfigure the subset of M channels to reduce co-channel interference on the link (300, 330).
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif d'affectation adaptative des canaux dans un système de communication (220) multiporteuse à plusieurs intervalles de temps. Pour ce procédé et ce système, on choisit dans un ensemble N de canaux de communication d'une liaison (300, 330) un sous-ensemble M moins important de canaux. Pendant le déroulement des communications sur la liaison (300, 330), on procède périodiquement à des mesures de qualité du signal (C/I) des canaux du sous-ensemble M de canaux, et des mesures d'interférences (I) entre co-canaux de l'ensemble des N canaux. Les mesures C/I et I servent ensuite à reconfigurer le sous ensemble de M canaux de façon à réduire le niveau d'interférences entre co-canaux de la liaison (300, 330).
