-14- ABSTRACT A digital signal coring apparatus is provided. Two digital reference signals are supplied by their sources to a comparison means. The comparison means compares these reference signals to the digital input signal from its source. The comparison means develops digital signals representative of the degree of difference between the input digital signals and the range of digital values determined by the digital reference signals. The boundaries of the range of digital values is modified in response to the representative digital signals by modifying means. Components are also provided for developing the output cored digital signal from the representative digital signal.
