An adaptive distance relaying system (1) provides improved performance for parallel circuit distance protection. The system utilizes the parallel circuit's current, when available, in conjunction with measurements of voltage and current on the protected line to compensate for the zero sequence current mutual coupling effect. The sequence current ratio (zero or negative sequence) is used to avoid incorrect compensation for relays on the healthy circuit. If the parallel circuit current is not available and the line operating status is, the best zero sequence current compensation factors are selected accordingly as a next level adaptation. If both the parallel circuit current and line operating status are unavailable, a fallback scheme that offers better results than classical distance protection schemes is employed.
L'invention porte sur un système (1) adaptatif de télérelais aux performances améliorées en matière de téléprotection des circuits parallèles. Le système utilise le courant du circuit parallèle, lorsqu'il est connu, en association avec des mesures de tension et de courant sur la ligne protégée pour compenser les effets de couplage mutuel du courant à séquence nulle. On utilise le rapport séquentiel du courant (séquence nulle ou inverse) pour éviter les compensations incorrectes des relais du circuit sain. Si le courant du circuit parallèle n'est pas connu, mais que l'état d'exploitation de la ligne l'est, on sélectionne en conséquence le meilleur facteur de compensation de courant à séquence nulle pour une adaptation du niveau suivant. Si ni le courant du circuit parallèle, ni l'état d'exploitation de la ligne ne sont connus, on recourt à un schéma de secours offrant de meilleurs résultats que les schémas classiques de protection à distance.
