The invention relates to an adaptive man/machine interface. It comprises discrimination cells (1a, ..., la"' et 1b, ..., 1b') according to the degree of knowledge of the machine by the user, a visual interface module (2) enabling a plurality of levels of functional states (FLi) of the machine to be displayed, and an adaptive system (2, 3, 4, 8) for selection of the functional states of the machine ( SIGMA ) according to the discriminated degree of knowledge of the machine by the user in order to establish a current configuration for said machine. The invention can be used with state machines such as telephone terminals, car radios, TV remote controls and computers.
L'invention concerne un interface homme/machine adaptatif. Il comprend des cellules (1a, ..., 1a"' et 1b, ..., 1b') de discrimination du degré de connaissance machine par l'utilisateur, un module (2) d'interfaçage visuel permettant d'afficher une pluralité de niveaux d'états fonctionnels (FL i) de la machine, un système adaptatif de sélection (2, 3, 4, 8) de niveaux d'états fonctionnels de la machine (.SIGMA.) en fonction du degré de connaissance discriminé de la machine par l'utilisateur pour établir une configuration courante de cette machine. Application à des machines d'état telles que terminal téléphonique, autoradio, télécommande de téléviseur, ordinateur.
