A method is disclosed for developing and using a high-speed adaptive multivariable controller by removing the dynamics of the PID controllers from a Model Predictive Controller that was developed using identification testing of a process. The resulting multivariable controller, based on final control elements as the manipulated variables is then used in a novel control adaptation with all of the PID controllers switched to manual.

Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant de développer et d'utiliser une unité de commande multivariable adaptative à grande vitesse en éliminant les dynamiques des régulateurs PID d'une unité de commande prédictive à modèle qui a été développée à l'aide de tests d'identification d'un processus. L'unité de commande multivariable ainsi obtenue, fondée sur des éléments de commande finaux tels que les variables manipulées, est ensuite utilisée dans une nouvelle adaptation de commande avec tous les régulateurs PID basculés en mode manuel.
