An adaptor assembly (1) which functions as an extender for coaxial cable connectors. The adaptor assembly (1) includes a support element (70) which provides for support and isolation of a terminal (20) within an assembly housing (10) and minimizes electrical signal degradation by providing only a minimal amount of dielectric material to support the terminal (20) within the housing (10). Additionally, a metal bushing (30) is provided as part of an auto-seizing assembly and prevents lock-up of the adaptor assembly (1) during installation of the assembly onto a coaxial cable connector.

Ensemble adaptateur (1) qui sert de rallonge pour des connecteurs de câble coaxial. L'ensemble adaptateur (1) inclut un élément de soutien (70) qui sert à soutenir et à isoler une borne (20) à l'intérieur du boîtier (10) dudit ensemble et qui réduit au minimum la dégradation des signaux électriques, n'utilisant qu'une quantité strictement nécessaire de matériau diélectrique pour soutenir la borne (20) à l'intérieur du boîtier (10). En outre, on utilise un manchon métallique (30), qui fait partie d'un système de saisie automatique et évite le blocage de l'ensemble adaptateur (1) lors de son installation sur un connecteur de câble coaxial.
