An adaptor (10) for a fastening tool (12) having an attachment portion (18) for coupling the adaptor (10)to the fastening tool and a support (14, 16) for coupling a mounting bracket (26) to the adaptor (10), arranged so as to hold the mounting bracket (26) relative to a substrate and allow a fastener from the tool to be driven through the mounting bracket to secure the mounting bracket to the substrate (52). A holder for holding an item to facilitate attachment of said item to a substrate by a fastener, wherein the holder magnetically retains the item in a position to receive the fastener from a fastener tool. A method of securing a mounting bracket to a substrate including the steps of coupling the mounting bracket (26) to an adaptor (10) which is arranged so as to hold the mounting bracket relative to a fastening tool (12), supporting the mounting bracket in position relative to the substrate (52), and operating the tool to drive a fastener through a mounting portion of the mounting bracket to secure the mounting bracket to the substrate.
L'invention concerne un adaptateur (10) pour un outil de fixation (12) comprenant une partie d'attache (18) servant à coupler l'adaptateur (10) à l'outil de fixation et un support (14, 16) servant à coupler un support de montage (26) à l'adaptateur (10), conçu de manière à maintenir le support de montage (26) par rapport à un substrat et de manière que l'organe de fixation de l'outil puisse être enfoncé dans le support de montage de façon à fixer solidement le support de montage sur le substrat (52). L'invention concerne également un organe de maintien servant à maintenir un article afin de faciliter l'assujettissement dudit article sur un substrat au moyen d'un organe de fixation de façon que l'organe de maintien retienne par magnétisme l'article dans une certaine position afin de recevoir l'organe de fixation d'un outil de fixation. L'invention concerne également un procédé qui permet de fixer solidement un support de montage sur un substrat, ce procédé consistant à coupler le support de montage (26) à un adaptateur (10) qui est conçu de façon à maintenir le support de montage par rapport à un outil de fixation (12), à disposer le support de montage dans une position relative au substrat (52), enfin à activer l'outil afin d'enfoncer un organe de fixation dans une partie de montage du support de montage afin de fixer solidement ce dernier sur le substrat.
