ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention is directed to an anaerobic adhesive and to a method of bonding two substrates at a bond site. The anaerobic adhesive comprises the reac- tion product of an addition polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated isocyanate and a polyahl, a curing amount of a polymerization initiator and a stabilizing amount of a polymerization inhibitor. The method of bonding two substrates at a bond site comprises depositing the adhesive of this invention at the bond site such that the adhesive contacts both substrates and consuming the polymerization inhibitor, thereby polymerizing the adhesive to form a solid material that bonds the two substrates.
