An apparatus and method is disclosed for forming a compacted powder slug (7) coated with a film. The powder (6), e.g. of a medicament, is compacted and enrobed to produce compacted powder slugs (7) by preferably mechanically compacting a powder (6) and forming a film (8) of a material, preferably hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose, by vacuum or pressure differential, about the surface of the powder (6) thus compacted.

La présente invention décrit un dispositif et une méthode de formation d~une pastille de poudre comprimée (7) enrobée d~une pellicule. La poudre (6), qui peut être par exemple un médicament, est compactée et enrobée dans le but de fabriquer des pastilles de poudre comprimée (7) obtenues préférentiellement par compactage mécanique d'une poudre (6) et formation d'un film (8), à partir d'un matériau donné, à la surface de la poudre (6) ainsi comprimée, par dépôt sous vide ou sous pression différentielle.
