- 25 - Abstract The invention relates to an additive for deep-well cement slurries and the use of this additive in deep-well cement slurries for cementing deep wells. The additive according to the invention consists of water-soluble anionic polymerisates having a molecular weight of from approximately 50 000 to 500 000 that consist of approxi- mately 1 to 60 mole % of anionic structural units and approximately 99 to 40 mole % of non-ionic structural units. As anionic structural units, the polymerisates contain salts of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid, and, as the non ionic structural units, acrylmide and/or methacrylamide. The additives according to the invention are added to the cement slurries in amounts of approximately 0.1 to 2.0 % by weight, based on the weight of the cement.
